In June 2017, aged just 15 months, Huey was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Our world fell apart when we were told Huey's diagnosis; our lives changed that day. But as Huey's parents we keep strong, keep positive and take each day as it comes.
At the point of writing this Huey is now 6 months into his treatment. He is starting his last cycle of intensive chemotherapy before heading into maintenance. His treatment will be three and half years in total. His treatment has been gruelling and brutal at times; devastating to watch as a parent. However Huey has been super-brave throughout it and amazed us with his fighting spirit and gorgeous personality.
We hope that Huey's treatment continues to work and pray that he will be cancer free by the end of his treatment.
We have been humbled by friends and family who have arranged many fundraising events since Hueys diagnosis. This fund has been set up to raise money to fund research in order to improve treatments for childhood leukaemia and other childhood cancers.
